The consultation is the beginning of our collaborations.
The discovery call helps to orient us to share your likes and wants as we establish a goal and craft a resolution during the consultation. My objective is to offer continuous guidance to help you go from desire to done. We will establish our visit parameters and, based on your vision, set clear goals and establish a delivery timeline. If what you want, for example, is a kitchen garden, we will not discuss shrubs, bulbs, or other plants.
We can certainly discuss those things at a later appointment, and our consultation will be limited to one topic, one item at a time. As the website promises, we plan, we plant, and you enjoy.

What’s included
If, for example, you’d like to have a kitchen garden installation, we will ask questions, establish a budget, determine the size of your garden area, consider important features, determine what you want to grow and for how many. We’ll head outside, consider the best placement, and site the garden. We will map it with string, stakes, and paint, and set a timeline for next steps.

Group Coaching
Group Coaching Annual Virtual Subscription $200 Off
Group coaching is a shared coaching program, similar to sharing a fitness trainer, for an affordable solution to answering your gardening questions and building your growing confidence. Our approach generally focuses on common goals, mutual accountability, and a supportive community while allowing each participant to work on their individual objectives.
With interactive learning, groups share resources, create a community, encourage and motivate one another, and build a small community.
Coaching sessions are scheduled monthly, 55 minutes long, and have a consistently scheduled meeting time.
Each client will receive an emailed copy of the transcript in a searchable PDF and your notetaking software is welcome.
Our objective is to help you absorb the how-to of gardening.
Guides or printed media will be available to support the topic and increase the session’s learning objectives.
One of our fun activities is to host an annual garden center field trip to provide practical learning opportunities and to meet one another.

Personal Coaching Sessions: One-on-one virtual sessions each month (55 minutes), scheduled at convenient times, scheduled twice a month.
Family Members: Immediate family members are welcome to attend your premium coaching session.
Onsite Garden Assistance: Receive one 90 minute in-person garden grooming session in your garden each year, valued at $500. If you’re located in an area more than 45 minutes away, we meet virtually.
Workshop Participation: Attend one complimentary workshop annually on specialized gardening topics, valued at $250. Review the events page for your selection.
Group Coaching Access: Join monthly group sessions to learn and share with others.Annual Field Trip: The Client is invited to participate in an annual nursery or garden center field trip organized by the Coach, offering practical learning experiences.
Annual Formal Garden Visit: The Client is invited to participate in an annual formal garden visit at a regional location, such as the US Botanic Garden, the Nature Conservancy, or Hillwood, which is the Marjorie Merriweather Post estate, or another venue of note. Additional guests are welcome at the Client’s expense.Resource Library: Access a collection of guides and materials to enhance your gardening knowledge. This is a dynamic work in progress and the materials are proprietary for premium coaching subscribers.
Transcripts: Each meeting’s transcript will be emailed to the Client.

Garden Design + Planting Plan

Garden designs are the outcome of a garden consultation, specially priced for the show at $299. The design package incorporates your goals. For example, if engaging your children in the garden is a priority, we suggest a kiddie garden to hold plants that are simple for a child to seed and easy to tend, as part of their garden education and family participation. A planting plan, which is the second part of the design package, illustrates exactly how to plan your garden, according to the types of plants you like, arranged in a way that requires less labor and makes it less hospitable to weeds.
A planting plan considers which plants grow best in which season, maximizing your successful garden harvests.
Each design component is priced at $300 and the event special is both for $450.

Your plan begins with a 15 minute discovery call, followed by a 60 minute consult that focuses on a custom garden design to meet your goals. We will come to your location and learn about your vision for your Kitchen Garden. We will spend 60 minutes learning about your vision for a Kitchen Garden. We will site the best location and evaluate important criteria such as space, sunlight and access to a water source. While we prefer consults to happen in person, we can also accommodate a remote visit.
Within a few days we will provide a concept design and a cost estimate for a turnkey installation. Your consultation fee includes 1 revision of the original plan. (Additional changes will be billed at $150 per hour.) Turnkey kitchen garden installation so you can enjoy your garden on day one. Year round harvests and access to seasonal coaching, planting, and knowledge building.

As a thank you, I’m emailing my Seed Viability Checklist, a Garden Sanctuary Design and Coaching exclusive! Here’s a coaching tip: seeds have different germination lifespans. When you want to have a successful planting, germination viability makes a big difference because nothing sprouts 100%. For example, onions are viable for only a year, that’s it. Other types of seeds, like beans, remain viable for 3-4 years before germination drops off from a high of 75-81% depending on the variety.
